Once again our local history society has produced a document of much interest which covers so many aspects of life in our villages during the last few decades. There are 52 substantial accounts of organisations, past and present, a list of some 7 organisations from which no reply has been received and some 15 where only very sparse information has come up so far. All this points to the production of a second edition in the future, when no doubt the occasional misprints could be corrected and possibly some amendments made to the information already supplied. Thanks are due to the contributors for their accounts of the organisations with which they are associated and congratulations to Reg Nightingale for all his hard work in the mammoth task of editing these documents and producing a booklet for publication. Well worth buying for reference and for interest.
